On this episode of The Heart Beat, Maya Pomroy interviews Lance McCoy, the first University of Houston College of Medicine student to participate in the new cardiology training rotation at The Texas Heart Institute Center for Cardiovascular Care. McCoy began his journey at Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU), where he discovered his passion for research. His interests then led him to the prestigious University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where McCoy served as a research assistant and helped develop novel imaging technology to improve patient outcomes associated with radiation therapy.
